If only I have a proper data plan, I will pen down my thoughts on the train ride to work everyday. The thing is, these journeys aren’t exactly enjoyable. In fact, this long ride hasn’t been great for the past 4 months.

Everyday I add a new thought to my already filled brain. Everyday I discover something new about the whole saga. Everyday I cause my heart to crack a little.

This isn’t gonna end anytime soon, I know myself too well. Weeks, months, years. Unpredictable. Will I make it or break it?

Save me please.

It is kinda depressing when here I’m trying to help and there you’re blaming me. I’m not trying to point fingers here. Yes, I’m at fault and I would gladly admit it if you hadn’t started flaring up like mad cow. If I had known earlier that things would turn out like that, I would have prevented it. But I’m not a gypsy my dear. Why do you only see things from your angle and not mine.

New Life

Today I shall revive my blog because I’m too free. Yes, I am still jobless and needless to mention, a parasite. I went for my first interview last Friday (finally!) and I got the job! But nah, the green is greener on the other side and I believe there are better opportunities elsewhere. So, I am still sending out my resumes and waiting for telephone calls.

Work aside, life has been great since graduation. Everyday, I get to wake up at noon, rot at home and sleep at 4am. Mahjong and poker play a big part in my jobless life but since everyone has started school already, this gambling has to end. Haha. Tuition has been my pathetic source of income for the past months but the meagre pay is barely keeping me alive.

Kk is in his 5th and final year and he is very stressed about his dissertation and upcoming thesis. I am of no use to him, except – providing distractions. Well done! Like right now, we are at Macs and he is fretting over his work. I wish I could offer some help but if I have the capability, I would be doing my 4th year already. There have been many ups and downs between us. Tempers go crazy more frequently than ever but we never burst. That is the amazing thing about our relationship. I guess I’m quite fortunate because he is so mature and I have an endless supply of freedom. July brought about our first backpacking/holiday trip and I’m feeling so inspired to blog about it! Next post! :)

Pre-Blues

The love-hate relationship with my room is driving me nuts! I absolutely love staying at home but it’s doing me more harm than good. The thought of my essay makes me wanna cry. I can’t even churn out a research question and it’s freaking due in 2 weeks’ time. 80% regretting this module.

Last weekend was a bomb! Perhaps you haven’t know, I have a long weekend on odd weeks because I don’t go for IO so I officially end my week on Wednesday night. I had a project meeting on Thursday and supposedly tuition at night but boy was I lucky that it was cancelled. HELL YES. Slowly wrote my essay that night which was due on Friday evening and I really meant slow. I completed it at 4am and I had to wake up at 830am on Friday to rush down to Expo. OMG it was the most auntish moment of my life because I went to queue up before the sale even started and squeezed like mad just to grab the good stuff first! You think that having to elbow and nudge the ATBs and pinos to test the products is bad enough but no, the freaking queue was insanely long and I think we queued for almost an hour. The worst thing was, I did a $105 damage to my already battered wallet.

Lubbed our stuff to check out new stocks from the suppliers and the cropped top is so nice! And YEAH, it will be mine soon! Another $13 POOFED away because the floral shorts is way too irresistible! I think saving money is like going on a diet. You curb your spending so much that eventually you’ll just unleash and drain your savings dry.

I’m serious!

Two tuitions later in the evening. Long night ahead. Its the first time I’ll be going to my student’s place (we always have it in school) and OMG she lives in Pulau Ulu Malu. Damn hard to go although it’s just Serangoon. The thought of it just kills. I have to hike my way through the urban jungle zzz, so not looking forward to that. Should I wear something more presentable or just a tee and shorts?

My other twin girls made me wanna cry. When I went over after my presentation last week (I was wearing a top and bandage skirt), they said,

‘Why you wear this? You look weird in skirt!’

And yesterday, I wore a chui hall tee and FBTs and the first thing they said when they saw me was,

‘Like that nicer what, you cannot wear skirt lah!’

OMG. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?!?!

Pocket Full of Sunshine

Beautiful weekend.

We made porridge for dinner in record time – less than an hour! A simple fare but nonetheless satisfying. However, something just has to go wrong every time we whip up a meal. This time round, the water we boiled for steaming the fish dried up and smoked up the whole house with burnt aroma. Fortunately, the fish wasn’t smoked and it tasted great! :)

Saturday morning had me waking up in a great rainy weather and I made scrambles and cereal for breakfast. :) I think I’m getting better at it, time and taste wise. I wanna move on to benedicts next!

Rejuvenation

I promise I’ll blog more often. Miss those times when I would blog about each and every thing and still not get bored about it. Now, even opening the dashboard needs some effort. My mouth is reeking of garlic from dinner. The Tampopo movie was driving me nuts in the afternoon. I could hear stomachs growling (mine included) around throughout. And I had to break my diet and devour 5 fishballs after that. Awww how sinful. But still, it didn’t curb my ramen craving and we went to try out a new place at Novena (and I skipped tuition just for that).

It was savory but didn’t feel quite as authentic as Baikohken. The eggs were the bomb though! Super runny and so salty that I think I lost 10 strands of hair instantly. It was rather affordable so I think we’ll patronize again soon and I will post pictures from the next trip if I can!

Talking about pictures, I was contemplating to get a dSLR! IT fair has always been a scam because even when you don’t have the intention to buy anything, once you step in, you’ll be so dead and broke. I got my new HDD and I’m a happy girl because 320GB means 320 movies to be stored! I’ve got a pretty long list to download and I love my speed at home because when it’s fast, it’s really fast (like less than an hour for a 1GB show). And I can do backup for those precious pictures that will make me jump off the building if I ever lose them.

I treated my face like a king just now and I hope it’ll be nice and stop sprouting disgusting zits! Black mask for the uninviting blackheads and unsightly huge pores. It was the first time doing it and it feels good. I love the feeling of it hardening on the nose, peeling it off and scrutinizing each and every single black/white heads stuck onto the sheet. After that, it was a whole slab of Shiseidos (the full regime which I’m now too lazy to follow religiously), the trimming of brows and eyelash protein treatment. A moisturizing mask tomorrow night sounds good. Did I mention that I’m one week into my vitamin supplements and it seems to have taken effect already? At least a slight bit. But I concluded it’s just placebo because I wouldn’t wanna risk my money and do stupid things to my face during consumption. I’m gonna pamper it all I can during these last 7 volatile weeks.

Wow.

I blabbered quite a bit.

This is the vigor that I’m talking about. Blogging about all things random and I’m enjoying it. Tweeting is never really like it, although I’ve been tweeting more often these days. How amazing for one who doesn’t have mobile broadband to do so. This clearly explains how much time I’m in front of my lappy right? :)

Hell Week

We’re in midweek! Let’s do the midweek cheer like the good old days. This week has been bombarded with 3 freaking mid-terms and I had my 1st one on Monday already. It was… Hmmm, great for a last minute revision. I managed to churn out 2 full pages of stuff (hopefully facts). I’ll cross my fingers for this 25%.

Currently in the midst of my revision for the test later. Although its just MCQ, I’m frantically writing notes so I won’t panic so much when its the finals. But bad news is, I’m too slow and I haven’t even flipped my book for Thursday’s test. I seriously think I’m screwed for IO. Presentation was quite a flop too. I’m just not cut out for psych, after 3 drilling years of I-don’t-know-what-the-fuck-am-I-studying.

Just let me earn enough money, go for some laser treatment, get my back cracked by some wonder monk, shed about 6 kilos, learn to slab my face with disgusting make-up…

And I can fly away :)

The Devil Speaks

Is it normal to be angry and somewhat, disappointed with your friends? Not once, not twice, but… I’ve lost count the number of times.

And I mean really really close friends?

We fell apart many years ago because I was overly sensitive about these kinda issues. And I’m doing it again. I’ve grown up, I’ve learnt to take things in my stride. But why am I feeling it again? I don’t want to think negatively about them. But small little things seem to fucking piss me off now, since I came to realize certain things that I wish I am too stupid to notice. But no, when it comes right in your face, you just gotta accept it.

Sometimes I wonder where do I stand? I feel so small.
